My Most Played Albums from 2014

It's that time of year for my annual blog post - my most played albums that were released in 2014.  As is always the case, the albums I always think of as my "favorites" don't necessarily line up with what I actually played the most.  This is likely due to passive vs. active listening habits, albums that I play for other people, etc.  For what it's worth, I think the Shakey Graves album was probably my favorite of the year.

I have heard of Margot and the Nuclear So & So's but never really listened to them before. I discovered this album last night, and am really digging it (even though the story is the band was not happy with this version of the album). Take a listen and see what you think....

(my) Best Albums of 2006 (or close)

As everyone is starting to compile their "Best Albums of 2006" lists, I got motivated to do the same. I remembered that I had started using Wists earlier in the year to track these (think Delicious with thumbnails). So I just went back and added few more for consideration. Below are my finalists (others may be to come). Granted, they were not all techincally released in 2006 - but that is when I first came across them - and after all, I am the center of my own universe. :-)
