Public Perception & Piracy (in easy-to-digest, non-chalky, Joke flavor)

I saw a comedian on TV the other day doing a bit on the anti-piracy PSAs that are run as pre-roll on many DVDs. The PSA took the tact of saying copying a DVD is stealing, and making the analogy that "you wouldn't steal a car, would you? So don't steal this movie."

The punchline was something to the affect of, "Well of course I wouldn't steal a car. But if my buddy just bought a new car, and he could make me a copy... I'd seriously consider it."

I certainly didn't do the joke justice, but I thought it captured the prevailing public mindset pretty well.
